The National Qualifications Authority (NQA) was established by Federal Decree No. 1 of 2010 issued by His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan (May God bless him) President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 23rd August, 2010.

Quality Assurance

The federal decree gives effect to the mandate of NQA to develop and maintain a national qualifications framework for the UAE, and in collaboration with the relevant authorities, the development and implementation of a range of quality assurance processes to assure quality of outcomes of education and training and in particular vocational education and training, and its relationship with the labour market.
