    A Memorandum of Understanding to Accredit National Qualifications for Professions in the Radiological and Nuclear Fields

    The Ministry of Education and the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation in the UAE have signed a memorandum of understanding regarding cooperation in adopting professional and national standards and qualifications related to private professions in the nuclear and radiological fields in the country. The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Prof. Mohamed Yousif Baniyas, Higher Education Advisor and Director of the National Qualification Centre and the Commission for Academic Accreditation at the Ministry of Education, and on behalf of the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation, His Excellency Christer Viktorsson, Director General.

    NQC Accredits National Institute for Health Specialties

    The National Qualifications Centre (NQC) at the Ministry of Education (MoE) issued a certificate of accreditation to the National Institute for Health Specialties (NIHS) after the institute had fulfilled the technical requirements and conditions for accreditation established by the NQC. The institute will accordingly monitor the accredited and registered training institutions and ensure the quality of the vocational qualifications and certificates.

General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the Security Qualifications Center (SQC) at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) received the Accreditation Certificate from the National Qualifications Centre. The accreditation recognizes the SQC as a certified issuer entity of professional security qualifications following the center’s successful completion of the technical requirements, conditions, and standards for obtaining the accreditation.

    The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has revealed that it has endorsed the National Qualifications Framework, experiences, and job descriptions in the federal government, in coordination with the National Qualification Centre to align the frameworks that were endorsed within the approved job description and evaluation by the Council of Minister's Resolution No. 28 of the year 2013.
